Target consulting firms and system integrators first
Big Four accounting firms and Oracle implementation partners like Deloitte, Accenture, and Infosys sponsor Oracle Cloud Financials roles regularly. These employers have established H-1B programs and dedicated immigration teams, making the sponsorship process more predictable.
Align your degree to the role's specialty occupation requirement
USCIS requires a direct connection between your degree field and the job duties. A degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or computer science maps cleanly to Oracle Cloud Financials positions and strengthens the specialty occupation argument considerably.
Certifications reinforce your H-1B petition
Oracle Cloud certifications, particularly in Financials or ERP, signal specialized expertise that supports specialty occupation classification. Employers and attorneys use these credentials to differentiate your petition and demonstrate the theoretical depth the role requires.
Understand where your role sits in the project lifecycle
Implementation roles during active deployments are easier to sponsor than ongoing support roles. If you are joining a team mid-project or post-go-live, clarify with the employer how they document the specialized nature of your ongoing responsibilities.
Ask employers about their cap-exempt sponsorship options
Universities and certain nonprofit research organizations are exempt from the H-1B annual cap. If an Oracle Cloud Financials role exists within a cap-exempt institution, you can receive H-1B status year-round without waiting for the lottery.
Use OPT strategically to build your Oracle Cloud experience
Starting your first Oracle Cloud Financials role on OPT gives you 12 months of U.S. work experience before H-1B sponsorship becomes necessary. STEM OPT extends this to three years if your degree qualifies, providing more time to secure a long-term sponsor.

Find Oracle Cloud Financials JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Is Oracle Cloud Financials considered a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS looks for a direct relationship between a specific degree field and the job duties. Oracle Cloud Financials roles typically require knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ERP configuration, which maps to degrees in accounting, finance, or information systems. Petitions are stronger when the job description explicitly requires a degree in one of those fields rather than listing it as preferred.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Oracle Cloud Financials roles?
Consulting firms and Oracle implementation partners account for the majority of sponsored Oracle Cloud Financials positions. Companies like Deloitte, PwC, Accenture, Infosys, and Wipro file large volumes of H-1B petitions for these roles annually, based on Department of Labor LCA disclosure data. Large enterprises running Oracle Cloud internally, particularly in healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing, also sponsor but less frequently than consulting firms. Migrate Mate filters sponsorship-friendly employers so you can identify them without manual research.
Can I get an Oracle Cloud Financials job sponsored if my degree is in computer science rather than finance?
Yes. USCIS accepts multiple degree fields for Oracle Cloud Financials positions as long as the employer can justify the connection to the job duties. A computer science background is defensible when the role emphasizes technical configuration, data migration, or integration work within the Oracle Cloud environment. The petition should clearly articulate how your technical degree supports the specific responsibilities listed in the job description.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my chances of getting sponsored for this role?
If you are not already in H-1B status, your petition enters the annual lottery with approximately a 25% selection rate based on recent USCIS registration data. Employers typically submit registrations in March for an October start date. If you are on OPT or STEM OPT, you can work during this period and continue if selected. Some candidates pursue the lottery multiple times before selection, so maintaining valid work authorization while you wait is important.
What visa options exist for Oracle Cloud Financials roles beyond the H-1B?
Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa, which has a separate 10,500-slot annual allocation and no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa if the role meets the qualifying occupation criteria. L-1 transfers apply if you currently work for a multinational employer with a U.S. entity. O-1 is an option for candidates with exceptional recognition in the Oracle ecosystem, though the evidentiary bar is high.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Oracle Cloud Financials jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
