ABOUT THIS TEAM
Our Global Distribution Center (DC) support functions are part of our greater lululemon Supply Chain organization. The DC Support functions are compromised of the Health and Safety, Facilities and Production Control departments within our North America DCs. Based in the DC and reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisor, the Health and Safety Technician will provide support in all areas of health and safety, including mitigating occupational hazards. This role interacts frequently with associates and leaders on the DC floor to promote a safe work environment and culture.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Assist with safety entry screening procedures, hygiene practices and monitoring COVID-19 prevention measures for the DC.
- Conduct weekly real-time observations (RTOs) in departments based on incident frequency, post incident, or routine cadence.
- Provide feedback to employees engaging in unsafe behaviors or not adhering to safe work procedures/guidelines.
- Timely investigate and report first aid, work injuries, and near miss incidents.
- Assist employees with completion of First Report of Injury reports and provide first aid as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining safety program training records.
- Conduct lululemon health and safety orientation for new hires and Power Industrial Truck training.
- Participate in emergency response team and emergency response actions.
- Inspect and maintain all safety supplies and equipment to include first aid kits, emergency communication devices, signs, fire extinguishers, PPE and warning devices associated with emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate a history of safe work practices.
- General knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations of a distribution center.
- First Aid CPR, and AED training or willingness to certify.
- Flexible and adaptable with schedule which could include working off-shifts, required holidays, some weekends with occasional after-hours requirements and overtime.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to understand, speak, and read English with sufficient proficiency to follow safety and other policies, trainings, and instructions. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
Typical Hiring Range: $27.15 - $30.15/hour, subject to minimum wage in the location
Target Bonus: 5%
Total Target Base Pay Range: $28.51 - $31.66/hour
Additional Shift Premiums: $1.00 - $1.00, depending on location
