About the Role:
Glean is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and execution-oriented VP of Growth Marketing to lead our global growth engine across Demand Generation, Digital, Field Marketing, and Partner Marketing—and to shape the future of demand generation for an AI-native company navigating an ever-evolving market. - Build and scale a world-class growth engine that consistently delivers predictable, efficient pipeline across Enterprise, Commercial, and Global markets.
- Translate company growth objectives into marketing strategy, investment priorities, operating plans, and measurable business outcomes across segments, regions, and channels.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team across demand generation, digital marketing, ABM, field marketing, partner marketing, and campaign strategy, fostering a culture of ownership, experimentation, and operational excellence.
- Architect integrated go-to-market programs that connect product launches, thought leadership, digital, events, field marketing, partner ecosystems, and ABM into a scalable growth engine.
- Champion an AI-first marketing organization by embedding AI into campaign planning, content creation, experimentation, personalization, reporting, and operational workflows—making Glean the showcase for modern AI-powered marketing.
- Build the operating cadence that aligns executive leadership around pipeline health, forecast accuracy, investment decisions, campaign performance, and continuous optimization.
About you:
- 12+ years of B2B SaaS or enterprise technology marketing experience, with leadership responsibility for growth, demand generation, or revenue marketing supporting enterprise sales.
- Proven track record of building and scaling growth engines that deliver predictable pipeline, revenue, and ROI through integrated digital, ABM, field, partner, and lifecycle marketing.
- Strong business and analytical acumen, with expertise in forecasting, attribution, funnel optimization, investment planning, and marketing performance measurement.
- Experienced people leader who has built and developed high-performing teams and leaders, creating a culture of accountability, experimentation, and operational excellence.
- Executive-level communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, translate data into strategic decisions, and align teams around shared business goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do VP Marketing positions qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, VP Marketing roles typically qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship when they require specialized knowledge in digital marketing, brand strategy, analytics, or growth marketing. The position must demonstrate complexity beyond general marketing coordination, focusing on strategic planning, technical marketing skills, and senior-level decision making that requires specialized education or experience.
What degree requirements apply to VP Marketing visa sponsorship?
Most VP Marketing positions require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field. Some roles may specify MBA preferences, particularly for larger companies. If you lack a relevant degree, three years of progressive marketing experience can substitute for each year of missing education under immigration regulations.
How do employers justify VP Marketing roles for visa sponsorship?
Employers justify VP Marketing sponsorship by emphasizing the specialized nature of modern marketing leadership including digital analytics, marketing automation, customer acquisition strategy, and P&L management. They must demonstrate the role requires specialized knowledge beyond general marketing skills, focusing on strategic planning, technical expertise, and complex decision-making responsibilities.
What's the approval rate for VP Marketing H-1B petitions?
VP Marketing roles generally see strong approval rates when properly documented, as they clearly demonstrate specialized knowledge requirements. Success depends on showing the role requires sophisticated marketing expertise, strategic planning capabilities, and technical skills beyond general marketing coordination. Well-prepared petitions emphasizing analytics, automation, and strategic responsibility typically succeed.
Can VP Marketing roles lead to green card sponsorship?
Yes, VP Marketing positions often qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship, particularly when they require advanced marketing expertise or management of significant teams and budgets. The strategic nature of VP-level marketing work, combined with specialized knowledge requirements, typically supports permanent residency applications through employer sponsorship pathways.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored VP Marketing jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
