As a Manager, Implementation Project Management, you will be at the center of this transformation—leading new clients through onboarding initiatives (moments that matter), strengthening client relationships, and ensuring a seamless conversion experience.
In this highly visible role, you will:
Own and drive implementation projects end-to-end, managing small to mid-sized conversions and contributing to more complex client engagements.
Support existing advisors transitioning a book of business to the FIWMS platform.
Drive implementation projects, coordinating stakeholders and delivering a world‑class onboarding journey.
You will take ownership of the implementation lifecycle, managing client relationships with minimal oversight, navigating complexity with confidence, and ensuring assets transition smoothly.
The Expertise You Have
Series 7 required
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
3-5 years of financial services experience, ideally within institutional, high‑net‑worth client management or relationship‑driven roles
Strong knowledge of the Fidelity business segments; understanding of the industry, financial markets, and competitor influences
Experience with a wide spectrum of investment solutions, products, and services offered to Fidelity clients
The Skills You Bring
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, complex relationships and projects in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of Fidelity brokerage policies, systems (FBSI, XTRAC), and tools (Excel)
Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
The Value You Deliver
Advise the overall asset conversion plans for new clients to FIWMS. Analyze the source and figure out the best methods to achieve successful conversion.
Lead the client relationship during the on-boarding experience, including setting appropriate client expectations and delivering on the customer experience index.
Act as a liaison on behalf of client to FIWMS organization to address client issues. Work with the client to resolve daily issues involving account set up, transfer of assets, account maintenance, and other customer service issues.
Analyze the procedures, products, and business practices of the client to align with FIWMS policies and procedures and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions and alternatives when vital. Make recommendations on standard processes.

Wealth Management Advisor Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a wealth management advisor in Rhode Island?
To work as a wealth management advisor in Rhode Island, you need to pass the FINRA Series 65 exam to register as an Investment Adviser Representative, or the Series 7 and Series 66 exams if you plan to work with a broker-dealer. Registration is coordinated through the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation's Securities Division. Most employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business, and many pursue the CFP designation to strengthen their credentials.
How much do wealth management advisors make in Rhode Island?
Wealth management advisors in Rhode Island earn a median of about $80,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $46,670 for the lowest 10% to over $164,230 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire wealth management advisors in Rhode Island?
Companies currently hiring wealth management advisors in Rhode Island include Fidelity Investments, Citizens, and Bank of America, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's concentration of regional banks, independent RIAs, and insurance-affiliated advisory firms means opportunities appear across both large national platforms and locally rooted practices.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most wealth management advisor jobs?
Smithfield, Johnston, and Providence have the most wealth management advisor openings in Rhode Island. Providence anchors demand as the state's financial and commercial center, home to major bank branches, RIA firms, and insurance headquarters, while Newport's affluent coastal communities support demand for high-net-worth and estate planning specialists, and Warwick draws openings from suburban office corridors tied to Providence metro employers.
Are there remote wealth management advisor jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, but they're relatively limited. About 0% of wealth management advisor openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting that the role centers heavily on client relationships that most firms prefer to maintain in person. The functions most likely to allow remote or hybrid arrangements are financial planning analysis, portfolio review, and back-office advisory support rather than client-facing relationship management roles.
How can I get hired as a wealth management advisor in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a large Rhode Island-based firm as a financial planning associate or client services associate, then building toward a full advisor role. Citizens Bank and Fidelity Investments' Providence-area offices regularly bring on associates in supporting roles that transition into advisory tracks. Completing the Series 65 exam and pursuing CFP coursework while in an entry role gives candidates a clear edge, and laterals from banking, insurance sales, or financial analyst positions at Rhode Island firms are common stepping stones.
Where can I find and apply to wealth management advisor jobs in Rhode Island?
