Mid Level Wellness Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level wellness manager job?
Position your experience around programs you have owned end to end, not just supported. Highlight measurable outcomes like participation rates, health risk reductions, or cost savings you drove. Tailor your resume to show independent decision-making, vendor or partner coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Employers at this level want candidates who can take a program brief and deliver results without constant supervision.
Which companies hire mid level wellness managers?
Companies hiring mid level wellness managers right now include PNC Financial Services, Appex Innovation, and ADM, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers large self-insured employers, hospital systems, corporate health vendors, and benefits consulting firms that need experienced professionals to run established programs with growing autonomy.
Are there remote mid level wellness manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer type and program scope. About 11% of mid level wellness manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles more common at digital health companies and benefits platforms than at organizations running on-site fitness or occupational health programs.
How do I move up to a mid level wellness manager role?
Progression from entry level means building a portfolio of programs you have led rather than assisted. That includes taking ownership of a wellness initiative from planning through reporting, demonstrating measurable impact, and developing skills in budget management, vendor negotiation, and data analysis. Earning a credential like CHES or CWWPM also signals readiness for greater responsibility to hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most mid level wellness managers?
Mid Level wellness manager roles concentrate in Banking & Financial Services, Food & Beverage, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to employ large workforces where employee health directly affects productivity, benefits costs, and retention, creating sustained demand for experienced wellness professionals who can run programs at scale.
