AI Intern Jobs in Montana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai intern in Montana?
The path to an ai intern role in Montana starts with enrollment in a computer science, data science, mathematics, or related degree program at a Montana institution such as Montana State University in Bozeman or the University of Montana in Missoula. There is no state-issued license required for this role. Employers look for coursework in machine learning, statistics, and programming alongside a portfolio of project work or research contributions that demonstrates hands-on ability.
Which companies hire ai interns in Montana?
Companies currently hiring ai interns in Montana include Albertsons, Walgreens, and ArborSys, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Montana's university research centers and technology-adjacent firms in Bozeman and Missoula tend to run the most consistent intern programs in this space.
Which Montana cities have the most ai intern jobs?
Missoula, Bozeman, and Helena lead for ai intern openings in Montana. Bozeman drives the largest share thanks to Montana State University's research programs and a growing technology startup community, while Missoula's concentration of University of Montana research labs and regional tech employers sustains steady demand, and Billings contributes openings through its larger corporate and healthcare-sector employers with analytics teams.
Are there remote ai intern jobs in Montana?
Yes, and more than most fields, since ai intern work is largely analytical and code-based rather than requiring physical presence. About 25% of ai intern openings tied to Montana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the role. Model development, data labeling, and literature review tasks are the sub-areas most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
