The Liaison Engineer at Airside MRO will provide engineering support to maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations by resolving technical issues identified during inspection, repair, modification, assembly, and testing activities. This position will serve as a technical liaison between Engineering, Operations, Production, and Quality to evaluate discrepancies, develop repair solutions, interpret technical data, and support the timely completion of work. The Liaison Engineer will help ensure engineering solutions meet applicable regulatory requirements, approved technical data, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

· Provide engineering support to technicians, inspectors, and production personnel to address technical issues encountered during component inspection, repair, modification, assembly, and testing.

· Evaluate damage, defects, corrosion, dimensional deviations, nonconforming conditions, and other technical discrepancies identified during maintenance and repair activities.

· Develop engineering dispositions, repair instructions, technical recommendations, sketches, and supporting documentation within the authority of the organization.

· Review and interpret engineering drawings, Component Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, technical specifications, and other applicable approved technical data.

· Develop practical engineering solutions to support component repairs and modifications while ensuring compliance with applicable technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.

· Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring technical, repair, manufacturing, and quality issues.

· Work directly with Operations and Production teams to identify and resolve technical constraints that may impact workflow, quality, or turnaround time.

· Partner with Quality personnel to ensure engineering dispositions, repair instructions, and technical solutions comply with applicable regulatory requirements, approved technical data, and company procedures.

· Create and maintain engineering drawings, repair instructions, technical reports, calculations, sketches, and other engineering records as required.

· Provide engineering evaluation and technical recommendations for nonconforming materials, components, dimensions, or repair conditions.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on repair processes, quality, reliability, safety, capability development, and operational efficiency.

· Ensure engineering activities are performed in accordance with applicable FAA requirements, Part 145 requirements, approved technical data, customer requirements, and company procedures.

· Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to support repair activities and operational objectives.

· Perform other tasks as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

· Knowledge of aircraft component maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, and modification processes.

· Knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station requirements and applicable aviation regulations.

· Knowledge of engineering principles related to aircraft structures, components, mechanical systems, materials, and repair processes.

· Knowledge of engineering drawings, Component Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other approved technical data.

· Knowledge of metallic materials, tolerances, corrosion, fatigue, structural damage, fasteners, and common aviation repair methods.

· Knowledge of engineering change control, configuration control, nonconformance management, and technical documentation requirements.

· Skill in evaluating technical discrepancies and developing practical engineering solutions.

· Skill in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, and technical data.

· Skill in developing engineering dispositions, repair instructions, technical reports, drawings, and supporting documentation.

· Skill in troubleshooting technical problems and performing root cause analysis.

· Skill in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar engineering design software.

· Skill in communicating technical information clearly to technicians, inspectors, engineers, customers, and leadership.

· Ability to manage multiple engineering priorities in a fast-paced aviation MRO environment.

· Ability to work directly with technicians and production personnel on the shop floor to resolve technical issues.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment.

· Ability to exercise sound engineering judgment while maintaining compliance with approved technical data, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

· Minimum 3 years of engineering experience within aviation, aerospace manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, component repair, or an MRO environment preferred.

· Minimum 3 years of hydraulic experience preferred.

· Experience providing liaison, repair, manufacturing, structures, or production engineering support preferred.

· FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience preferred.

· Experience evaluating component discrepancies and developing engineering repair solutions preferred.

· Experience with aircraft structures, mechanical components, hydraulic components, or related aviation systems preferred.

· Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred.

· A&P license preferred.
