Job Summary:
Qualified Candidates:
- Board-certified in emergency medicine
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as physician core faculty OR associate program director OR department chair in an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine residency program.
- Ability to obtain Missouri licensure
- Significant protected administrative time with shared institutional accountability for early accreditation milestones
- Strong partnership with executive leadership and support from an established GME office
- Clear alignment between clinical leadership and educational priorities
- Leadership scope and compensation aligned with senior academic and institutional responsibility
- Full founding authority over program design, curriculum philosophy, trainee experience, and program culture, including meaningful decision‑making input into early core faculty selection.
- Enterprise‑level oversight of local GME programs, ACGME compliance, and institutional reviews, serving as a key delegate to the DIO
- Includes active participation in the GMEC and input into broader workforce and physician development strategy
- Works in direct partnership with the Designated Institutional Official and executive leadership
- Sustains clinical credibility without distracting from leadership priorities
