Manufacturing Associate Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a manufacturing associate in Missouri?
Most Missouri employers hire manufacturing associates with a high school diploma or equivalent and offer on-the-job training. No state-issued license is required for the general role, though positions in specialized areas like electrical systems or regulated food production may require relevant certifications such as OSHA safety training or food handler credentials. Missouri community colleges, including St. Louis Community College and State Technical College of Missouri, offer manufacturing technology programs that strengthen a candidate's profile.
Which companies hire manufacturing associates in Missouri?
Companies currently hiring manufacturing associates in Missouri include Sheridan, US Lbm, and Formulate Labs, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Missouri's strong aerospace, automotive, and food and beverage industries mean large employers across the state maintain continuous production staffing needs throughout the year.
Which Missouri cities have the most manufacturing associate jobs?
Liberty, Fenton, and Joplin have the most manufacturing associate openings in Missouri. St. Louis drives the largest share through its aerospace and defense contractors and major food and beverage producers, while Kansas City's automotive suppliers and industrial manufacturers anchor demand in the western part of the state, and Springfield supports steady openings through its logistics, food processing, and electronics assembly operations.
Are there remote manufacturing associate jobs in Missouri?
Yes, but they're rare. Manufacturing associate work is fundamentally hands-on, requiring physical presence on a production floor or assembly line. About 0% of manufacturing associate openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions typically involve quality documentation, production scheduling, or process coordination functions rather than direct line work.
How can I get hired as a manufacturing associate in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to production technician or assembly line associate roles at large Missouri facilities that run structured onboarding programs. Boeing in St. Louis and Emerson Electric regularly hire entry-level candidates and provide in-house training. State Technical College of Missouri in Linn offers short-term manufacturing certificates that give applicants a competitive edge. Lateral moves from warehouse associate, material handler, or quality inspector roles at Missouri distribution centers also open doors into manufacturing associate positions.
Where can I find and apply to manufacturing associate jobs in Missouri?
