Duties

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments across manufacturing facilities to identify risks and ensure workplace safety standards are met.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent recurrence of accidents or violations.
• Coordinate training & development programs for employees on topics such as hazard communication, hazardous materials regulations, first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, environmental management systems, and occupational health best practices.
• Oversee environmental health initiatives by ensuring compliance with environmental regulatory standards in production processes and managing environmental health programs.
• Manage workers' compensation law adherence by facilitating reporting procedures and liaising with insurance providers as needed.
• Monitor workplace safety metrics, maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance audits to support continuous improvement efforts.

Experience

• Proven experience in manufacturing environments or industrial settings with a strong understanding of workplace safety protocols.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, environmental management systems, and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Prior experience conducting hazard assessments, root cause analysis, and report writing related to safety incidents or environmental violations.
• Familiarity with workers’ compensation law and employee health (regulatory compliance standards) is highly desirable.
• Strong background in training & development related to occupational health & safety topics such as OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, first aid/CPR certification, and environmental health practices.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting safety training sessions and preparing detailed reports for management review.
• Certification in safety management or related fields (such as CSP — Certified Safety Professional) is preferred but not required.
