Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a purchasing team of two Buyers.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support company production and financial objectives.
- Manage key supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, contracts, and performance.
- Purchase raw materials, components, packaging, and other production-related materials.
- Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Monitor inventory levels, purchasing requirements, lead times, and supplier capacity.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other supplier agreements.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness.
- Work closely with Production and Operations to resolve material shortages and supply issues.
