The Department of Urology at the University of Washington is seeking a urologist specializing in Genitourinary Reconstruction (GURS), Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS), or Endourology (Minimally Invasive Surgery) to join an established and high-volume urological surgery program at UW Medicine with the intent to serve in a leadership role as the Residency Program Director. The position is a full-time, 12-months per year, academic position at the Associate Professor or Professor level without tenure (WOT), due to funding. The anticipated start date for the position is as early as Spring 2027. Associate Professors and Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The GURS, URPS and Endourology (MIS) services are established and high-volume urology practices with a large clinical population from the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idado) Region, active research programs, and an extremely strong academic urology faculty. The successful candidate will be hired with the specific intent to be the Program Director for the Urology Residency Program.

The base salary range for this position will be: $32,000 per month to $35,000 per month ($384,000 - $420,000 annually) for the Associate Professor rank and $36,500 per month to $39,000 per month ($438,000 - $468,000 annually) for the Professor rank commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UWP practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan. Incentive is inclusive of variable incentive, Monthly or Semi-Annual Additional Compensation (MAC/SAAC).

The University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Duties of the position include providing excellent clinical management, and teaching residents, fellows and students. The selected applicant will have the opportunity to propose a research program, although not required. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, research experience that aligns with our existing strengths in reconstructive urology, gender affirmation care. The candidate will be expected to gain privileges for minimally invasive (robotic-assisted) surgery at applicable UW Medicine sites of practice. Qualifications

The candidate must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent), have completed an accredited residency in Urology (or foreign equivalent), and be a board-certified, or board qualified urologist with subspecialty training in GURS, URPS or Endourology (MIS) (or foreign equivalent) as demonstrated by the completion of an accredited fellowship program.

All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license. The position will not be eligible for UW visa sponsorship.

Additionally, successful candidates will hold the following pre-requisites:

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role for a residency program.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, education, and administration.
• A proven track record of mentorship, collaboration, and program development
