A Richmond-based property management firm is looking for a motivated and customer focused individual who is ready to assist our Property Manager is the day-to-day operations of our beautiful historically-renovated downtown apartment communities.
The ideal Assistant Property Managermust have the ability to manage multiple employees, multi-task, have strong customer service skills, be detailed oriented and must be highly organized.
Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
- Maintain occupancy while providing superior customer service to current tenants and prospective tenants.
- Support Property Manager and act as Manager in their absence.
- Assist with property marketing activities.
- Prepare and send notice of returned checks, late rent reminders and other correspondence as assigned.
- Resolve resident complaints, answering resident questions and monitoring the resolution of problems.
- Performing other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property.
Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent. Candidates must have strong customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, is detail oriented and computer proficient. Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to focus with occasional interruption.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum one (1) year experience working in the property management industry; Yardi experience highly preferred. Normal Work Schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some Saturdays required.
