Associate Director Clinical Quality Assurance Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a associate director clinical quality assurance in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers require a bachelor's degree in a life sciences field as the foundation, with many preferring a master's or advanced degree for director-level roles. There is no state-issued license specific to this role, but widely recognized credentials such as the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer carry real weight with Minnesota hiring managers. Candidates typically move into this role after building several years of quality assurance or regulatory affairs experience within Minnesota's medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.
Which companies hire associate director clinical quality assurances in Minnesota?
Companies currently hiring associate director clinical quality assurances in Minnesota include Le Sueur, Cirrus Aircraft, and Nextern, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 medical device and health sciences companies means this role appears regularly across both large corporations and mid-size specialty manufacturers based in the Twin Cities region.
Which Minnesota cities have the most associate director clinical quality assurance jobs?
The cities with the most associate director clinical quality assurance openings in Minnesota are Le Sueur, Chaska, and Duluth. The Twin Cities metro drives the majority of demand because it is home to the headquarters and major operations of Minnesota's largest medical device, pharmaceutical, and health technology employers, while Rochester's openings are closely tied to the Mayo Clinic health system and its affiliated research enterprises.
Are there remote associate director clinical quality assurance jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than many quality roles, because much of the director-level work involves documentation review, audit management, and cross-functional oversight that can be performed remotely. About 24% of associate director clinical quality assurance openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, though roles requiring direct oversight of manufacturing floors or on-site inspection readiness typically remain on-site. Quality strategy, CAPA coordination, and SOP development are the functions most commonly offered in remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a associate director clinical quality assurance in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is to enter through a quality specialist, quality engineer, or regulatory affairs coordinator role at a Minnesota medical device or pharmaceutical company and build toward the director level over several years. Large Minnesota employers like Medtronic and 3M offer structured development programs and rotational opportunities that move quality professionals into leadership tracks. Earning an ASQ credential early and gaining direct exposure to FDA audit preparation or CAPA management gives candidates a measurable edge when applying for associate director openings.
