Auditor Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a auditor job in Denver?
Focus your search on Denver's Central Business District and the Denver Tech Center, where government agencies, energy companies, and regional financial firms concentrate most of their audit hiring. Candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with public-sector compliance frameworks or SEC-reporting environments stand out locally. Networking through the Denver chapter of the IIA and targeting mid-size regional firms can open doors that national job boards miss.
Which companies hire auditors in Denver?
Companies currently hiring auditors in Denver include PARKING MANAGEMENT COMPANY, DaVita, and ReSource Pro, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's mix of federal agencies, publicly traded energy companies, and regional banks creates consistent demand for both internal and external audit professionals throughout the year.
Are there remote auditor jobs in Denver?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the audit type. Desk-based work such as financial statement review and data analytics is commonly done remotely, while field audit roles requiring physical site access are almost always on-site. About 50% of auditor openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the highest remote concentration in internal audit and IT audit roles at Denver's larger financial and tech employers.
How can I get a auditor job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is targeting staff auditor or audit associate roles at regional public accounting firms based in the Central Business District, which routinely hire candidates with a relevant degree and no prior experience. The Denver offices of the Colorado Office of the State Auditor and Denver City Auditor also post entry-level positions open to recent graduates. Building familiarity with data tools like Excel and ACL gives applicants a concrete edge in interviews with Denver employers.
Which industries hire the most auditors in Denver?
The sectors hiring the most auditors in Denver are Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's role as a regional hub for federal agencies, a headquarters city for energy companies, and a growing financial services center drives sustained audit hiring across all three areas.
