QMT Solutions is a management consultancy delivering elite governance, risk, and control advisory to Fortune 500 clients navigating complexity and transformation. We are hiring an experienced IT Auditor to support a Denver-based healthcare enterprise in achieving SOX and HIPAA compliance.
Role Description
This is a 12-month contract-to-hire role with hybrid flexibility. The IT Auditor will lead the design, execution, and documentation of IT General Controls (ITGCs) to ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen the client’s control environment. The position is based in the Denver metro area, with partial remote work available.
Key Responsibilities
- Define ITGCs aligned with industry best practices and client-standardized control frameworks
- Identify and validate key controls for assessing operating effectiveness
- Conduct control design walkthroughs
- Develop and execute test plans, including evidence requests and result documentation
- Recommend remediation strategies and perform retesting of remediated controls
- Support SOX and HIPAA audit requests and contribute to ad hoc compliance initiatives
Experience and Skills
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance methodology; HIPAA familiarity preferred
- Proficiency in logical access, change management, and system configuration controls
- Working knowledge of operating systems controls and database controls
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to synthesize complex control environments
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing priorities independently
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- CISA or CISM certification
