Join the team as an Auto Body Technician and bring damaged vehicles back to safe, functional, and polished condition. You’ll handle structural and cosmetic repairs, from assessing damage and shaping sheet metal to refinishing surfaces and installing parts. Your impact: Careful, accurate repairs help vehicle owners return to the road with confidence.
Duties
- Inspect vehicle damage and support auto estimating by identifying repair needs and required parts.
- Perform auto body repair, automotive structural repair, automotive dent repair, and welding repair, including MIG welding and fabrication.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to complete repairs, fabrication repair techniques, and auto restoration work.
- Prepare and refinish vehicles through sanding, automotive body refinishing, auto painting, and airless paint spraying; complete detailing as needed.
- Install automotive parts and auto glass, perform assembly and vehicle maintenance, and assist with soldering and other automotive repair tasks.
Requirements
- Experience working as an automotive body technician; dealership experience is a plus. Mechanic experience and general mechanical knowledge are also valued.
- Practical skills in welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, and automotive cosmetic repair.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, vehicle maintenance, auto glass, auto estimating, and parts installation is preferred.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform hands-on repair work with care and attention to detail.
Pay: $17.00 - $50.00 per hour
