We are currently looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to become a permanent member of our manufacturing team based in the Metro Detroit region.
Core Duties:
- Develop comprehensive electrical control system designs, utilizing AutoCAD to draft schematics for both new assembly machinery and equipment retrofits.
- Collaborate with the engineering department to select necessary robotic welding components, such as dress out packages, cabling, torches, weld guns, tool changers, and maintenance accessories.
- Ensure the seamless operation of facility equipment by programming and providing technical support for all integrated PLC and HMI systems.
This position is a salaried, full-time role that functions under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager.
Professional Background:
- Possess a four-year degree in a relevant field, or demonstrate at least five years of practical industry experience, or provide evidence of a comparable blend of education and professional training.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Fanuc programming and Allen Bradley Microview software to support production goals.
- Maintain technical expertise in Motoman robotic programming to ensure optimal equipment performance.
