Aviation Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a aviation job in Miami?
Focus your search on the clusters of aviation employers around Miami International Airport, Opa-locka Executive Airport, and the Doral industrial corridor, where airlines, MRO shops, cargo carriers, and charter operators concentrate. Flight operations, maintenance, ground handling, and dispatch roles are consistently in demand here. Candidates who hold type ratings or airframe and powerplant certificates relevant to the fleets operating at MIA gain a measurable edge in this market.
Which companies hire aviations in Miami?
Companies currently hiring aviations in Miami include EAC Consulting, Garver, and Ardurra, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's employer mix is unusually broad, combining major international airlines, regional carriers, private charter operators, cargo specialists, and MRO providers serving both commercial and business aviation.
Are there remote aviation jobs in Miami?
Yes, though remote work is limited by nature in aviation, where most roles require physical presence on a flight line, in a hangar, or at a gate. About 67% of aviation openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated in desk-based functions. In Miami, the roles most likely to offer remote or hybrid arrangements are aviation logistics coordination, flight dispatch, and airline revenue management.
How can I get a aviation job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is ground operations or ramp handling, where carriers and ground service contractors at Miami International Airport regularly hire with minimal prior aviation experience and provide on-the-job training. From there, lateral moves into baggage systems, customer service, or operations coordination are common. Completing an FAA student pilot certificate or earning an aviation-related associate degree from Miami Dade College strengthens your profile considerably with local employers.
Which industries hire the most aviations in Miami?
Most aviation openings in Miami sit in Construction & Real Estate and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's role as a gateway for Latin American and Caribbean routes, combined with its status as a major cargo hub, keeps hiring across those sectors consistently active throughout the year.
