Value Based Care Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a value based care in Florida?
Most value based care roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in health administration, nursing, public health, or a related clinical field, though some organizations accept equivalent experience. Florida does not issue a single state license for the specialty, but clinical roles within it may require an active Florida nursing or social work license through the Florida Department of Health. Employers also value familiarity with Florida's Medicaid managed care program and federal Medicare Advantage requirements.
Which companies hire value based cares in Florida?
Employers hiring value based cares in Florida right now include Premier Medical Associates (PMA), Millennium Physician, and Upperline Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's large Medicare Advantage enrollment and Medicaid managed care footprint mean payers, hospital systems, and physician groups are among the most consistent hirers in the state.
Which Florida cities have the most value based care jobs?
Tampa, Ocala, and Starke have the most value based care openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense Medicare Advantage market and large managed care payer offices, Tampa draws demand from major integrated health systems and regional insurer headquarters, and Orlando's rapidly growing hospital networks and outpatient groups add a third strong concentration of roles.
Are there remote value based care jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most health care fields, because value based care work is largely analytical, administrative, and coordination-focused rather than hands-on clinical. About 0% of value based care openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how many payers and health plans operate distributed teams. Roles in quality improvement, risk adjustment coding, and population health analytics tend to be the most remote-eligible.
How can I get hired as a value based care in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an adjacent clinical or administrative role such as medical coding, care coordination, or utilization review. Large Florida-based health plans and hospital systems, including those operating statewide Medicaid managed care contracts, regularly post associate care coordinator and quality improvement associate positions designed for candidates without direct value based care experience. Earning a Certified Professional in Health Quality credential or completing coursework in population health gives candidates a measurable edge when applying to these roles.
Where can I find and apply to value based care jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to value based care jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across payers, hospital systems, and physician organizations. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
