QA Analyst Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a qa analyst in Florida?
Most qa analyst roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related discipline. Florida has no state-issued license for qa analysts, so employers focus on technical skills and certifications. The ISTQB Foundation Level certification is widely recognized by Florida employers and strengthens candidates at the entry level. Building a portfolio of test plans, bug reports, and automation scripts is the most practical step for breaking into the field.
How much do QA analysts make in Florida?
QA analysts in Florida earn a median of about $100,210 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,970 for the lowest 10% to over $150,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire qa analysts in Florida?
Employers hiring qa analysts in Florida right now include Publix, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Parsons, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of aerospace and defense contractors, healthcare technology firms, and regional financial institutions creates steady, year-round demand across seniority levels.
Which Florida cities have the most qa analyst jobs?
Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami have the most qa analyst openings in Florida. Tampa and Orlando lead because of their large concentrations of healthcare IT companies, defense contractors, and financial services firms, while Miami draws demand from fintech startups and enterprise software teams serving Latin American markets.
Are there remote qa analyst jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. QA analysis is largely a desk and analytical discipline, making it well suited to remote work. About 27% of qa analyst openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed testing teams. Automation engineering and test strategy roles tend to be the most consistently remote, while roles requiring hands-on device or hardware testing are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a qa analyst in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or junior QA role at a Florida-based software company or healthcare technology firm, where teams often bring in candidates who demonstrate hands-on skills through a personal project portfolio rather than years of experience. Large Florida employers like AdventHealth and Lockheed Martin run internship and new-graduate programs that feed directly into QA teams. Lateral moves from technical support, business analysis, or data entry roles are common entry points, and earning the ISTQB Foundation Level certification before applying gives candidates a concrete credential that signals readiness.
