INTRODUCTION
We Operate a cotton gin in the panhandle of West Texas. Our season runs from September until the end of December. We need seasonal workers to assist the gin operation throughout the season.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hauling cotton from the fields to the gin yard
- Ginning and baling cotton
- Warehousing the cotton and the seed
- Shipping the cotton and seed out
- Operating forklift
- Driving module trucks
- Assisting in operating the bale press and tag/bag bales
- Assisting in operating the gin stands
- Helping load round modules into the feeder for processing
- Providing general help around the gin operation
- Completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, yard, and buildings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Seasonal workers needed for the cotton gin operation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion
- Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion
