- Ability to design end-to-end solutions that leverage the platform effectively.
- ITOM Process Expertise: Extensive experience.
Role Context
Business problem being solved: ITOM Architect to owner CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Integrations, Data Quality, CSDM. Primary role objective and key deliverables (first 90 days): 2 Months long with possible extension. The client is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Developer to design, build, and maintain a high-quality Configuration Management Database (CMDB) that underpins IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM). You will own CMDB data modeling, discovery, service mapping, integrations, and data quality/governance using ServiceNow best practices and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This role partners closely with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure the CMDB accurately reflects our technology estate and supports impactful use cases including incident, change, asset, event, observability, and risk.
Skills & Experience
- Top 3 Must-Have Skills (with minimum years in each): CMDB Architecture and Data Modeling (5 Years), CMDB alignment to CSDM (5 Years), Discovery / Service Mapping (5 Years).
- Specific tools, platforms, versions, or certifications required: Lansweeper Integration experience is a requirement from the client, CIS – Discovery (Preferred), CIS – Service Mapping (Preferred).
- The core focus is the LANSweeper integration to automate your physical device load into the CMDB (servers, laptops, desktops), with the added goal of automating software application data available through that integration. Application instances and business applications are already flowing in, so this closes the loop on the physical and software side. Best practices and broader CMDB guidance are welcome, but the LANSweeper integration is the must-have.

Servicenow Solution Architect Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a servicenow solution architect in Texas?
The concrete path in Texas starts with earning a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator credential, followed by at least one Certified Implementation Specialist certification in a core product line such as ITSM, HRSD, or CSM. Texas has no state-issued license for this role, so employers weight certifications and hands-on implementation experience heavily. Most candidates build experience through consulting firms or IT departments at large Texas employers before moving into a dedicated architect position.
How much do servicenow solution architects make in Texas?
Servicenow solution architects in Texas earn a median of about $111,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $55,480 for the lowest 10% to over $174,300 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire servicenow solution architects in Texas?
Employers hiring servicenow solution architects in Texas right now include Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), EY, and MatchPoint, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas-based technology hubs in Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin mean a steady mix of direct corporate employers and major consulting firms running ServiceNow practices for regional enterprise clients.
Which Texas cities have the most servicenow solution architect jobs?
Dallas and San Antonio account for the most servicenow solution architect openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial institutions, and large consulting practices, while Austin's fast-growing technology sector and state government IT programs drive demand there, and Houston's energy and healthcare industries sustain a consistent need for enterprise platform architects.
Are there remote servicenow solution architect jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. ServiceNow architecture work is largely design, configuration, and documentation-based, making it well suited to remote delivery. About 25% of servicenow solution architect openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed delivery for this role. Implementation phases that require on-site stakeholder workshops are the most likely to carry an in-person requirement.
How can I get hired as a servicenow solution architect in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a ServiceNow administrator or junior developer within an IT department or consulting firm, then building toward a solution architect role as you complete certified implementation tracks. Large Texas employers such as AT&T and USAA, along with the major consulting practices based in Dallas and Austin, regularly hire entry-level ServiceNow administrators and associate developers. Earning your Certified System Administrator credential before applying gives you a clear edge over candidates without any platform certification.
Where can I find and apply to servicenow solution architect jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to servicenow solution architect jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
