How do you become a quality analyst in Texas?
Most quality analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related technical field. Texas does not issue a state-specific quality analyst license, but employers across industries such as aerospace, medical devices, and semiconductor manufacturing strongly prefer candidates who hold an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification such as the Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Engineer. Gaining experience with quality management systems relevant to Texas's dominant industries improves hiring outcomes significantly.
How much do quality analysts make in Texas?
Quality analysts in Texas earn a median of about $47,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,040 for the lowest 10% to over $76,130 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring quality analysts in Texas right now include Apple, Houston Methodist, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and healthcare technology companies means quality analyst demand is broad across both large prime contractors and their regional supplier networks.
Which Texas cities have the most quality analyst jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most quality analyst openings in Texas. Houston's large energy, petrochemical, and medical device sectors generate consistent volume, while Dallas and Austin are driven by semiconductor manufacturers, aerospace contractors, and fast-growing health technology firms headquartered or with major operations in those metros.
Are there remote quality analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based fields because quality analyst work often requires hands-on inspection, audits, or on-site system access. About 18% of quality analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The portions of the role most likely to be done remotely include documentation review, supplier audit preparation, data analysis, and software quality assurance in SaaS or technology companies.
How can I get hired as a quality analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a quality technician or quality inspector, roles that appear regularly at Texas aerospace and manufacturing employers such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and large semiconductor fabricators in the Austin and Dallas areas. Completing an ASQ Certified Quality Technician exam signals foundational knowledge to hiring managers. Community colleges and technical institutes across Texas, including those in Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, offer quality and metrology coursework that directly supports entry-level applications.
