Solutions Lead Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions lead in Texas?
Becoming a solutions lead in Texas typically starts with a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or business, followed by several years in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or systems engineering role. Texas does not require a state-issued license for solutions leads, but industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure credentials are strongly preferred by Texas employers. Building experience with enterprise clients in industries dominant in Texas, such as energy, healthcare, and logistics, accelerates the path to a lead-level role.
Which companies hire solutions leads in Texas?
Employers hiring solutions leads in Texas right now include Humana, LogicMonitor, and Ryder System, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's large base of Fortune 500 headquarters and major technology campuses, particularly in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Austin corridor, generates consistent demand for solutions leads at mid-market and enterprise level.
Which Texas cities have the most solutions lead jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Frisco have the most solutions lead openings in Texas, reflecting the state's major enterprise technology hubs. Dallas-Fort Worth drives the highest volume due to its concentration of corporate headquarters and managed service providers, while Austin's thriving tech sector fuels demand from software and cloud companies, and Houston's energy and healthcare industries create steady openings for solutions leads focused on industrial and life sciences clients.
Are there remote solutions lead jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 91% of solutions lead openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves virtual client presentations, proposal development, and cross-team collaboration. The portions most commonly done remotely are discovery calls, solution scoping, and proposal writing, while on-site work is more typical during final client presentations or implementation kickoffs with major accounts.

The most realistic entry path is moving into a solutions associate or junior pre-sales engineer role from an adjacent position such as technical support, inside sales, or customer success. Large Texas employers like Dell Technologies and AT&T run structured associate pre-sales and technical sales development programs that accept candidates from these lateral roles.
