- Extend the capacity of the Senior Director by triaging incoming asks, representing them in select meetings, and ensuring decisions and actions are documented and executed.
- Serve as a thought partner to the Senior Director on a full range of strategic, operational, and cultural topics, helping navigate uncertainty and risk-not only running the process but shaping the substance of decisions.
- Anticipate and surface risks, misalignment, and political/cultural potholes early, and act as an honest broker across senior stakeholders to keep the agenda on track.
- Minimum 6 years in project/program management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 12+ years of experience & domain expertise
- 5+ years of total experience in Chief of Staff, Strategy & Operations, Management Consulting, or Business Operations roles.

Solutions Lead Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions lead in California?
Most solutions leads in California come from technical or consultative roles such as solutions engineer, technical account manager, or presales consultant before stepping into a lead position. California employers typically expect a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline alongside hands-on experience with enterprise software or cloud platforms. No state-issued license is required for the role, but vendor certifications from Salesforce, AWS, or Google Cloud are consistently favored by California hiring managers.
Which companies hire solutions leads in California?
Employers hiring solutions leads in California right now include TikTok, Qualcomm, and Ryder System, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's concentration of enterprise software headquarters and large regional offices means demand is spread across both established tech giants and fast-growing SaaS companies based in the state.
Which California cities have the most solutions lead jobs?
San Francisco, San Jose, and San Diego have the most solutions lead openings in California. The San Francisco Bay Area drives the bulk of demand because of its density of enterprise software and cloud company headquarters, while Los Angeles and San Diego generate strong hiring through their large financial services, healthcare technology, and defense technology employer bases.
Are there remote solutions lead jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 42% of solutions lead openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves virtual client engagement and internal collaboration rather than on-site presence. The portions of the role most likely to remain fully remote are discovery calls, proposal development, and solution architecture reviews.
How can I get hired as a solutions lead in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a solutions associate or junior solutions engineer role at a California-based enterprise software company, then building toward the lead title. Large California employers like Salesforce and Cisco run structured associate solutions engineer programs designed for candidates early in their careers. Coming from an adjacent role such as technical support, implementation consultant, or customer success manager gives you the client-facing exposure California hiring managers look for, and a recognized vendor certification in Salesforce, AWS, or Google Cloud strengthens your application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to solutions lead jobs in California?
