Solutions Lead Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions lead in Massachusetts?
Most solutions lead roles in Massachusetts require a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or engineering, combined with a background in presales, solutions consulting, or technical account management. There is no state-issued license for this role in Massachusetts. Employers in the Boston and Route 128 corridor typically look for candidates who have progressed through sales engineer or solutions consultant roles at a software or technology company before stepping into a lead position.
Which companies hire solutions leads in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring solutions leads in Massachusetts right now include Amazon, Abacus Insights, and Insulet Corporation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's dense concentration of enterprise software, medtech, and financial technology firms means solutions lead roles appear across both large multinationals and well-funded growth-stage companies headquartered in and around Boston.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most solutions lead jobs?
The cities with the most solutions lead openings in Massachusetts are Boston, Acton, and Andover. Boston anchors the market as the state's largest commercial hub, drawing enterprise technology and financial services employers, while Cambridge's biotech and life sciences ecosystem generates consistent demand, and Burlington and Waltham along the Route 128 technology corridor are home to regional headquarters and presales teams for major software vendors.
Are there remote solutions lead jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields, given how much of the role centers on virtual demos, remote discovery calls, and digital collaboration with distributed sales teams. About 58% of solutions lead openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how technology and financial services employers have continued to support flexible arrangements. The presales and solution design phases of the role translate well to remote work, while on-site client engagement remains common for enterprise deals.
How can I get hired as a solutions lead in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a solutions consultant or sales engineer role at one of the enterprise software companies concentrated along the Route 128 corridor or in downtown Boston. Employers like Oracle, Salesforce, and HubSpot run structured associate solutions engineer programs that accept candidates from technical support, implementation, or customer success backgrounds. A relevant cloud certification, such as those offered by AWS or Microsoft Azure, strengthens a candidate's profile significantly when direct presales experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to solutions lead jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to solutions lead jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
