The IT Solutions Lead is an execution-focused IT leader who serves as the operational link between the Solutions Partner's strategic vision and day-to-day solution delivery. While the Solutions Partner owns strategic alignment, governance, and portfolio prioritization, the Solutions Lead is responsible for the hands-on execution of demand, delivery, and regional/local solution within their assigned functional area(s).
The Solutions Lead is often the first point of contact for business partners within their region or capability area, responsible for gathering demand, facilitating requirements, coordinating delivery, and ensuring solution health post-deployment. Where small or regional applications exist, the Solutions Lead acts as the application steward, being responsible for the business-side roadmap and rationalization recommendations while ensuring alignment with global standards set by the Solutions Partner and Enterprise Architecture.
This role collaborates closely with the Solutions Partner, business partners, architects, application managers, and IT delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions through the IT demand process.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional or capability-level point of contact for incoming business demand, collecting requests and performing initial triage before calling out to the Solutions Partner for prioritization decisions.
- Implement the demand intake and delivery process using standardized tools (e.g., Power Apps, ServiceNow, Accolade) within the framework and priorities established by the Solutions Partner.
- Partner with business owners and team members to gather detailed requirements, clarify business value, and facilitate feasibility analysis — then coordinate with IT teams (architects, developers, application managers) to develop solution designs and cost estimates.
- Lead the delivery lifecycle of approved initiatives — from detailed requirements through build, test, deployment, and transition to support — ensuring alignment to architecture standards, TCO optimization, and agreed timelines.
- Track solution health, performance, and user experience post-deployment, proactively addressing issues to ensure business value realization and agreed service levels.
Local/Regional Application Stewardship
This responsibility applies when small or regional applications exist within the Solutions Lead's assigned functional scope that are not handled by a dedicated Application Manager. Examples include regional reporting tools, local workflow applications, or function-specific utilities that support day-to-day business operations.
- Act as the business-side application steward for assigned small/regional applications, ensuring business continuity, partner satisfaction, and alignment with global strategy.
- Develop and maintain an application roadmap (Grow, Sustain, Retire) for each assigned application, in collaboration with the Solutions Partner and Enterprise Architecture.
- Identify and recommend application rationalization opportunities to reduce duplication and optimize costs; the Solutions Partner approves rationalization decisions within the broader portfolio governance framework.
- Oversee intake and delivery of enhancements for owned applications, ensuring alignment with the demand process and prioritization framework.
- Provide feasibility input to the Solutions Partner when demand involves applications under the Solutions Lead's stewardship, within their assigned functional scope.
Strategy Support & Governance Contribution
- Contribute to technology roadmaps for assigned capability/functional areas by partnering with business capability leaders, under the direction of the Solutions Partner.
- Monitor emerging technology trends and recommend innovations to the Solutions Partner to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Align all activities with Novelis' Vision 3x30 and enterprise priorities as defined by the Solutions Partner and IT Leadership.
Multi-functional Collaboration & Communication
- Foster strong partnerships with internal partners, multi-functional teams, and regional IT colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and operational alignment.
- Engage across the IT organization within the assigned functional scope to coordinate operational support, disaster recovery planning, and IT ecosystem health.
- Support organizational change and communication efforts to drive adoption of new solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IT business partnering, project management, or enterprise solutions delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, secure solutions that achieve business objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrable ability to translate business needs into technology solutions, including requirements gathering, feasibility analysis, and case development.
- Experience facilitating workshops and leading solution design sessions with business and technical team members.
- Demonstrable ability to handle application health, performance, and user experience to deliver measurable business value.
- Knowledge of IT governance, demand management, and service delivery frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Agile) and tools (e.g., Accolade, ServiceNow).
- Superb communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Solutions Lead Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions lead in Georgia?
Most solutions leads in Georgia enter the role through a combination of a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field and several years in pre-sales, consulting, or account management. Georgia does not require a state-issued license for this role. Atlanta-area employers typically look for candidates who have moved up from solutions engineer or technical account manager positions, particularly within the enterprise software and logistics technology sectors concentrated in the metro.
Which companies hire solutions leads in Georgia?
Employers hiring solutions leads in Georgia right now include UCB, Novelis, and Intercontinental Exchange, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's dense concentration of technology headquarters and regional offices in the Atlanta metro, particularly in Alpharetta and Buckhead, makes it one of the more active markets in the Southeast for this role.
Which Georgia cities have the most solutions lead jobs?
Atlanta, Dacula, and Georgia have the most solutions lead openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the regional headquarters for a large number of enterprise technology, fintech, and logistics firms, while Alpharetta and Savannah draw openings through major corporate campuses and the growing port-driven supply chain and managed services sector in the coastal region.
Are there remote solutions lead jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since solutions lead work is heavily communication and presentation-driven rather than tied to a physical site. About 100% of solutions lead openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting employer flexibility across the role. The parts of the role most likely to stay fully remote are pre-sales engineering, discovery calls, and proposal development, while onsite client workshops and executive presentations typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a solutions lead in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a solutions associate or junior solutions engineer role from an adjacent position such as technical support, inside sales, or business analyst work. Large Georgia employers like NCR Atleos and Manhattan Associates run structured associate programs and internal rotation tracks that give candidates without direct solutions lead experience a clear starting point. Building a portfolio of product demos or case studies and earning a vendor certification in Salesforce or AWS can give Georgia candidates a meaningful edge in early-stage applications.
