Technical Training Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical training manager in Georgia?
Most technical training managers in Georgia enter the role with a bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, engineering, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on experience in the industry they train. Georgia does not require a state license specifically for training managers, but employers in regulated sectors such as healthcare or nuclear energy often expect credentials like the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance from the Association for Talent Development. Building a portfolio of curriculum projects strengthens applications considerably.
How much do technical training managers make in Georgia?
Technical training managers in Georgia earn a median of about $132,120 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $77,800 for the lowest 10% to over $222,370 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire technical training managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring technical training managers in Georgia right now include Ricoh, Club Car, and Elevated., based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Georgia's concentration of aerospace, logistics, and defense contractors means many of these openings involve multi-shift or multi-site training programs requiring both classroom and on-the-floor delivery experience.
Which Georgia cities have the most technical training manager jobs?
Atlanta, Evans, and Duluth have the most technical training manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the largest share of demand through its corporate headquarters, technology firms, and major logistics operations, while Savannah's port-related manufacturing growth and Augusta's defense and healthcare sectors create consistent openings outside the metro.
Are there remote technical training manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since much technical training requires on-site equipment demonstrations and hands-on sessions. About 50% of technical training manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting employers' preference for at least partial in-person delivery. Curriculum development, e-learning authoring, and program management tasks are the portions of the role most likely to be performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a technical training manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical role into a training specialist or training coordinator position, then building toward management. Large Georgia manufacturers and defense contractors such as those concentrated in the Marietta and Savannah corridors regularly hire associate training specialists and accept candidates with strong subject-matter expertise over formal training credentials. Earning an instructional design certificate from a Georgia university continuing-education program and assembling a sample curriculum portfolio gives candidates without formal training titles a measurable edge.
Where can I find and apply to technical training manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to technical training manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and location preference, and apply directly to each one.
