Corporate Development Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate development manager in Georgia?
The path into corporate development management in Georgia typically starts with a finance or business degree followed by several years in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting. Georgia does not require a state-issued license for this role. Candidates who advance into manager-level positions often hold an MBA from a program like Georgia Tech's Scheller College or Emory's Goizueta Business School, which have direct recruiting ties to Atlanta's major corporate headquarters.
Which companies hire corporate development managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring corporate development managers in Georgia right now include CRH, Aprio, and AGILYSYS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and fast-growing technology companies in the Atlanta corridor generates consistent demand for professionals who can source, evaluate, and close strategic transactions.
Which Georgia cities have the most corporate development manager jobs?
Atlanta, Tucker, and Marietta have the most corporate development manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it is home to a dense cluster of corporate headquarters across financial services, logistics, and technology, while Alpharetta draws demand from the large number of mid-market technology and fintech companies that have established regional or national headquarters there.
Are there remote corporate development manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical or software roles because corporate development work regularly requires in-person collaboration on deals, board presentations, and integration planning. About 50% of corporate development manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the remote portion skewing toward sourcing, market research, and early-stage pipeline work rather than late-stage diligence or integration.
How can I get hired as a corporate development manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst or business development associate role at a Georgia-based company, then building toward a manager title internally. Large Atlanta employers like Cox Enterprises, Intercontinental Exchange, and Equifax run rotational finance programs and analyst pipelines that feed into corporate development teams. A CFA designation or completion of an MBA at Goizueta or Scheller strengthens a candidacy significantly, as does direct exposure to M&A transactions through investment banking or private equity, even in a junior capacity.
Where can I find and apply to corporate development manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to corporate development manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Atlanta, Alpharetta, Savannah, and other Georgia markets. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the companies posting them.
