- Design scalable operating models across finance and accounting, revenue cycle, customer operations, human resources, procurement, compliance, and healthcare-specific processes.
- Assess current-state client operations and define future-state operating models and transformation roadmaps.
- Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, SLAs, staffing models, transition plans, and service delivery structures to ensure operational excellence.
- Integrate automation, AI, analytics, workflow optimization, and digital enablement into solution designs to enhance efficiency and insight.
Business Development & Client Advisory
- Partner with practice leaders, sales teams, and client executives during pursuits, proposals, and solution workshops.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, pricing strategies, and development of differentiated solution narratives.
- Build compelling business cases demonstrating operational improvements, cost efficiencies, and strategic value.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in client meetings, executive presentations, and deal shaping discussions.
Operational Transformation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies within solution design and client engagements.
- Collaborate with implementation, transition, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and long-term service optimization.
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes, increase scalability, and enhance the client and patient experience.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Advisory, Tax, Digital, Audit, and Managed Services teams to bring integrated solutions to market.
- Mentor and guide consultants and analysts supporting solution development and pursuit activities.
- Contribute to practice development, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategies within Healthcare Managed Services.
- Support the evolution of Baker Tilly’s managed services platform through innovation, market insights, and industry engagement.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

- Bring a strong understanding of healthcare provider, payer, or life sciences operations, including regulatory and reimbursement dynamics.
- Have a track record of designing and selling complex outsourcing or transformation solutions.
- Can balance strategic thinking with hands-on solution development and client engagement.
- Excel at building relationships with executives and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Enjoy mentoring talent and contributing to a high-growth, entrepreneurial practice environment.

Tips for Your Solutions Lead Job Search
Quantify the deals you influenced
Hiring managers for solutions lead roles want to see pipeline impact, not just activity. Rewrite your resume bullets to show contract values, expansion revenue, or implementation cycle reductions you drove, not tasks you completed.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists solutions lead openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Tailor your resume to the sales motion
Solutions lead postings differ significantly between product-led, enterprise, and channel-partner sales motions. Read the job description for clues about deal size and cycle length, then reframe your experience to match that specific context.
Showcase cross-functional credibility in interviews
You'll likely face a panel with both technical and commercial stakeholders. Prepare one story that demonstrates you translated a complex technical constraint into a business outcome, and one that shows you pushed back on scope to protect a deal.
Prepare a discovery call demonstration
Many solutions lead interviews include a live discovery or demo exercise. Practice running a structured discovery call cold, asking qualifying questions before touching any slide or product walkthrough, since interviewers will specifically probe for that discipline.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate comp
When you receive an offer, clarify territory, named accounts, and quota structure before discussing salary. Solutions lead comp is heavily tied to variable structure, and a poorly scoped territory can undermine even a generous on-target earnings figure.
Solutions Lead Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most solutions leads?
The companies hiring the most solutions leads right now include Ge Grid Solutions, Boston Consulting, and SPATCO Energy Solutions, with the largest share of openings in California, Texas, and New York, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is especially concentrated in enterprise software and managed services.
How many solutions lead jobs are remote?
About 31% of solutions lead openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on virtual discovery calls and digital product demos. Pre-sales and technical account management sub-roles tend to be the most remote-friendly, while implementation-heavy positions more often require on-site presence.
How do you become a solutions lead?
Most solutions leads move into the role from solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical account management. Build hands-on product knowledge in your current role, take ownership of discovery calls and demos, and develop skills in scoping and proposal writing. Earning a certification in a platform your target employers use, such as a major CRM or cloud provider, strengthens your candidacy further.
Can you get hired as a solutions lead with little experience?
Breaking in with limited direct experience is possible if you can demonstrate adjacent skills. Candidates from customer success, implementation consulting, or inside sales who have led product conversations with technical stakeholders often make the transition. Build a portfolio of demo recordings or case studies showing how you scoped a solution to a customer problem, and target smaller organizations or startups where the role is less rigidly defined.
What does the solutions lead interview process look like?
The process typically starts with a recruiter screen followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on your sales motion experience. A technical or product knowledge review comes next, often with a solutions architect or product manager. Most processes close with a live case study or mock discovery call in front of a panel, where you are evaluated on how you qualify needs before proposing a solution.
Where can I find and apply to solutions lead jobs?
You can find and apply to solutions lead jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Find roles that match your background and experience level, then apply directly to each listing that fits.
