Performance Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a performance manager in Texas?
Most performance manager roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field, and Texas does not impose a state-specific license for this role. Employers typically prioritize candidates who have built experience in analyst or operations coordinator positions before moving into management. A Project Management Professional certification or a Certified Performance Technologist credential can strengthen your candidacy with Texas employers who value structured methodology.
Which companies hire performance managers in Texas?
Employers hiring performance managers in Texas right now include Performance Foodservice, Performance Contracting, and Care, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of energy corporations, health systems, and major technology campuses means demand is distributed across several distinct industry sectors rather than concentrated in a single field.
Which Texas cities have the most performance manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most performance manager openings in Texas. Houston's energy and healthcare sectors, Dallas's corporate headquarters density, and Austin's technology industry each generate consistent demand, while suburban markets like Plano, The Woodlands, and Round Rock add additional volume through the regional campuses of major national employers.
Are there remote performance manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since performance management work is largely analytical and reporting-driven rather than hands-on. About 13% of performance manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the role. Strategy, reporting, and data analysis responsibilities tend to be the most remote-compatible parts of the job.
How can I get hired as a performance manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from a business analyst, operations coordinator, or project coordinator position at a Texas employer. Large Texas health systems like Baylor Scott and White and HCA Houston Healthcare, as well as corporate operations teams at companies like AT&T and Deloitte's Texas offices, regularly hire associates who grow into performance management. Building proficiency in data visualization tools and completing a recognized project or performance certification gives candidates a clear edge when applying for junior roles.
Where can I find and apply to performance manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to performance manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Find a role that fits and apply directly from the listing.
