Senior Salesforce Developer Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior salesforce developer in Texas?
Senior salesforce developers in Texas reach that level by combining Salesforce certifications with years of hands-on project delivery. Texas employers typically expect Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II credentials at minimum, with many senior roles requiring Advanced Administrator or Application Architect certification as well. Most candidates move into senior positions after leading at least one full-cycle enterprise implementation, which large Texas-based companies in energy, financial services, or healthcare tech provide regularly.
How much do senior salesforce developers make in Texas?
Senior salesforce developers in Texas earn a median of about $132,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $82,600 for the lowest 10% to over $183,680 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior salesforce developers in Texas?
Employers hiring senior salesforce developers in Texas right now include Automobile Club of Missouri, Photon, and Calpion, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth and major energy and healthcare companies in Houston creates steady demand across industries far beyond pure technology firms.
Which Texas cities have the most senior salesforce developer jobs?
Irving, Austin, and Dallas account for the most senior salesforce developer openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth dominates because of its dense cluster of financial services firms, telecom giants like AT&T, and regional headquarters, while Austin's fast-growing tech sector and Houston's energy and healthcare enterprises drive strong secondary demand.
Are there remote senior salesforce developer jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Senior salesforce development is a desk-based, platform-driven discipline that translates well to remote work. About 67% of senior salesforce developer openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed work for this role. Configuration, Apex coding, and integration work are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a senior salesforce developer in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is earning a Salesforce Certified Administrator credential and building a documented project portfolio through Salesforce's Trailhead platform, which Texas employers actively reference during screening. Candidates commonly move into junior developer seats from adjacent roles such as Salesforce administrator, business analyst, or IT support specialist at large Texas employers in energy, healthcare, or financial services. Associate consulting programs at Texas-based Salesforce implementation partners offer structured onboarding for early-career candidates with strong certification records but limited enterprise experience.
Where can I find and apply to senior salesforce developer jobs in Texas?
