We're growing our Technology team and looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to play a pivotal role in the modernization and ongoing performance of our Salesforce platform. If you're the kind of developer who gets satisfaction from untangling complexity and building things that actually work, this role was designed for you.
Compensation Package: Base salary starting at $105,000, commensurate with experience
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you blend immediate technical debt remediation with forward-looking feature development to simplify what exists while building what comes next. You'll work alongside an internal Salesforce Administrator and in coordination with external SI partners, serving as the primary in-house developer.
Job Duties: How You Win Everyday
- Build and maintain scalable solutions across Apex, LWC and Flow, owning Field Service Lightning end-to-end, from scheduling policies and dispatch workflow to mobile app configuration and service appointments.
- Simplify and strengthen the platform by reducing complexity, consolidating redundant automations, and eliminating technical debt without disrupting live operations.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party tools, building automations that reduce manual work, improve data quality and keep field operations running smoothly.
- Set and uphold the internal development standard through writing clean, documented code and serving as the technical counterpart so SI partners, reviewing deliverables and progressively reducing outside dependency.
- Translate operational needs into working solutions through partnering with business stakeholders in order to convert real problems into well-architected features, and explaining trade-offs clearly to non-technical leaders.
- Operate with high ownership: proactively surface risks, drive prioritization decisions, and leave the platform better than you found it.
Qualitifications: What You Offer
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with deep proficiency in Apex, Flow (including complex nested and record-triggered flows), and Lightning Web Components (LWC); (required).
- Demonstrated Field Service Lightning expertise: scheduling policies, dispatch console, mobile app, work order management and service appointments; (required).
- Proven experience simplifying over-engineered solutions for efficiency and performance; (required).
- Experience with Omni-Channel routing, Enhanced Messaging/SMS infrastructure, and Salesforce automation tooling; (required).
- Ability to execute from an architect's blueprint independently, flagging problems intelligently without constant oversight; (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; (ability to explain technical trade-offs to a non-technical audience); (required).
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II strongly preferred.
- Salesforce Certified Field Service Consultant (strongly preferred).
- Additional certifications such as Salesforce Certified Integration Architect or Data Architect are a plus.
Benefits: What We Offer
- Medical insurance, dental insurance, flex spending, HSA, vision insurance, and life insurance
- 401(K) Retirement Savings up to a 5% match
- Employer paid life insurance in the amount of $50,000
- Company-led community volunteer opportunities
- Career growth and development

Tips for Your Senior Salesforce Developer Job Search
Tailor your resume to each cloud
Recruiters screen for the specific Salesforce clouds listed in the job posting. If the role focuses on CPQ or Revenue Cloud, lead your resume with those implementations first, not your general Apex or Lightning Web Component experience.
List certifications in the right order
Put your Salesforce Application Architect or Platform Developer II credentials before generic certifications. Hiring managers at the senior level expect advanced credentials up front, and burying them below entry-level badges signals the wrong experience tier.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists senior salesforce developer openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by implementation scope
Search for terms like 'greenfield implementation' or 'org migration' alongside your target cloud. Senior roles tied to major projects fill faster and offer more technical depth than maintenance-only positions, so targeting them narrows competition and raises impact.
Prepare a systems integration example for interviews
Most senior salesforce developer interviews include a design round where you walk through a real integration you built. Have one MuleSoft, REST API, or middleware story ready with specifics on data volume, error handling, and tradeoffs you made.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate title
At the senior level, your long-term leverage comes from owning a domain, such as CPQ architecture or a Service Cloud rollout, not just a title bump. Before accepting, confirm what system ownership you'll hold and whether the role has a path to principal or architect.
Senior Salesforce Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most senior salesforce developers?
The companies hiring the most senior salesforce developers right now include Kuvare Holdings, Smart Apply Test Company, and American business solutions, with the largest share of openings in Texas, California, and Virginia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Demand is concentrated in financial services, healthcare systems, and large enterprise software firms running complex Salesforce orgs.
How many senior salesforce developer jobs are remote?
About 62% of senior salesforce developer openings are fully remote or hybrid as of August 2026, making it one of the more remote-accessible roles in enterprise software development. Positions focused on configuration, Apex development, and integration architecture tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles tied to on-site stakeholder workshops or data center integrations are more likely to require a hybrid schedule.
How do you become a senior salesforce developer?
You become a senior salesforce developer by moving from administrator or junior developer work into building custom Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, and complex integrations on real production orgs. Earning your Platform Developer II certification demonstrates advanced coding ability, and completing at least one full-cycle enterprise implementation, from requirements through deployment, is what most hiring managers treat as the threshold for senior-level candidacy.
Can you get a senior salesforce developer job without years of formal experience?
Getting a senior role without a long employment history is difficult but possible if you can show depth through project work, open-source contributions to Salesforce repositories, or Trailhead Superbadges that demonstrate advanced implementation skills. Employers weighing a non-traditional candidate at the senior level want to see that you've solved real architectural problems, handled governor limits, and led a deployment end to end, not just completed coursework.
What does the senior salesforce developer interview process look like?
The senior salesforce developer interview process typically runs three to four rounds, starting with a recruiter screen covering your certification history and cloud experience. A technical round follows where you'll write Apex code, design a data model, or walk through an integration architecture. Final rounds usually include a system design discussion with engineering leads and a behavioral interview focused on how you've handled stakeholder conflict, technical debt, or org-wide migrations.
Where can I find and apply to senior salesforce developer jobs?
You can find and apply to senior salesforce developer jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your cloud expertise and seniority level, and apply directly to each listing.
