Entry Level Boiler Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level boiler engineer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level typically look for a degree or certificate in mechanical, HVAC, or power engineering, along with any hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, or vocational training. Familiarity with boiler systems, pressure vessel safety standards, and basic troubleshooting gives candidates a clear edge. Highlighting relevant coursework, lab work, or an apprenticeship on your resume signals readiness even without full-time experience.
Which companies hire entry level boiler engineers?
Companies hiring entry level boiler engineers right now include Cleaver-Brooks, CBRE, and Georgia-Pacific, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utilities, industrial manufacturers, and facilities management contractors tend to be the most active employers at this level, since they often run structured onboarding programs that build skills from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level boiler engineer jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level are on-site given the hands-on nature of the work. About 0% of entry level boiler engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve design support, technical documentation, or equipment monitoring rather than direct plant operations.
Are these new grad boiler engineer jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior boiler engineer roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward the requirement, or explicitly accepts a strong academic project or portfolio in place of full-time work history. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'will train.'
Which industries hire the most entry level boiler engineers?
Entry Level boiler engineer roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Construction & Real Estate, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate large-scale heating, steam, and pressure systems that require a steady pipeline of trained engineers to maintain safety compliance and support senior staff.
