Entry Level Brand Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level brand designer job?
Entry level brand designers get hired on the strength of their portfolio above almost everything else. Hiring managers want to see real projects, even if they came from coursework, internships, freelance clients, or self-initiated work. Tailor each application to show you understand the company's visual identity. Bootcamp graduates and self-taught candidates with polished case studies compete directly with four-year design graduates at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level brand designers?
Companies hiring entry level brand designers right now include Ralph Lauren, Gemini, and Aircall, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide mix of employers, including in-house creative teams at consumer brands, marketing agencies, startups building their first visual identity, and retailers with high-volume content needs.
Are there remote entry level brand designer jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are also common at this level. About 60% of entry level brand designer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many creative teams now work across distributed setups. Remote roles at this stage often still include structured onboarding and regular video check-ins with senior designers.
Are these new grad brand designer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior brand designer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or academic projects as qualifying experience, or explicitly invites a portfolio in place of a long work history. If a listing says entry level but lists five years of requirements, that is the exception rather than the rule here.
Which industries hire the most entry level brand designers?
Entry Level brand designer roles concentrate in Retail, Food & Beverage, and Telecommunications, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive junior hiring because they need consistent visual output across digital and physical channels and often build their brand identity teams from the ground up with designers at the early career stage.
