Entry Level Marketing Writer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level marketing writer job?
Start with a portfolio of real or self-initiated samples: blog posts, email campaigns, social copy, or product descriptions that show range. Internship experience, freelance projects, or even a well-maintained personal blog all signal readiness. Employers at this level prioritize clear writing, a willingness to take direction, and the ability to adapt tone across different audiences and formats.
Which companies hire entry level marketing writers?
Companies hiring entry level marketing writers right now include Collabera, BioMarin Pharmaceutical, and Medpace, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a wide range of employers, from fast-growing startups building out their content teams to established brands looking for junior writers who can grow into broader marketing roles.
Are there remote entry level marketing writer jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 20% of entry level marketing writer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this one of the more flexible roles for new writers. Hybrid arrangements are common at larger companies, while fully remote positions tend to appear more often at digital-first businesses and content agencies.
Are these new grad marketing writer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior marketing writer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or classroom work as a credential, or explicitly asks for a portfolio rather than a long work history. Look for language like "entry level," "junior," or "recent graduates encouraged to apply" as reliable signals.
Which industries hire the most entry level marketing writers?
Entry Level marketing writer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors rely heavily on content to drive awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition, which means steady demand for junior writers who can produce blogs, ads, email copy, and social content at volume.
