How do I get a business development analyst job in Portland?
Focus your search on Portland's technology corridor stretching from the Pearl District into Beaverton and Hillsboro, where software, semiconductor, and clean energy companies concentrate most of their business development hiring. Healthcare systems and athletic and outdoor brands headquartered downtown also hire regularly. Candidates who combine data analysis skills with familiarity in any of these sectors, and who can show pipeline work or partnership results, tend to move fastest through local hiring processes.
Which companies hire business development analysts in Portland?
Employers hiring business development analysts in Portland right now include Exyte, Oregon Health & Science University, and Molex, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Portland's mix of global technology firms, regional healthcare networks, and consumer product companies creates consistent demand for this role at companies of all sizes.
Are there remote business development analyst jobs in Portland?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Business development analyst work is largely desk-based and analytical, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 62% of business development analyst openings tied to Portland are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the most flexible options typically found at software and SaaS companies headquartered in the Beaverton-Hillsboro corridor. Client-facing or partnership-heavy roles tend to require more in-office presence.
How can I get a business development analyst job in Portland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Portland is through a sales operations, business analyst, or market research coordinator role at a mid-size technology or healthcare company. Portland's startup scene in the Pearl District and its athletic and outdoor brands regularly hire junior analysts and rotate them into business development functions. A strong showing with CRM tools, Excel modeling, or a capstone project tied to a Portland market makes a meaningful difference at the entry level.
