How do I get a business development assistant job in Wichita?
The most direct path in Wichita is targeting the aviation and aerospace supply chain, which anchors much of the city's business development activity, along with regional banks, commercial real estate firms, and mid-size manufacturers near the industrial corridor. Candidates who combine CRM experience with knowledge of Wichita's manufacturing or logistics sectors stand out. Networking through the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Wichita Partnership also opens doors that job boards alone do not.
Which companies hire business development assistants in Wichita?

Wichita's employer mix skews toward aerospace contractors, regional financial institutions, and professional services firms that maintain dedicated business development teams.
Are there remote business development assistant jobs in Wichita?
Yes, though with limits. Business development assistant roles that focus on outreach, CRM management, and proposal coordination tend to support remote or hybrid schedules, while positions tied to in-person client meetings or trade show logistics are almost always on-site. About 13% of business development assistant openings tied to Wichita are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, most commonly at software, consulting, and staffing firms with distributed teams.
How can I get a business development assistant job in Wichita with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Wichita is an administrative or sales support role at one of the city's aerospace suppliers, regional banks, or commercial real estate firms, where business development assistants frequently start as office coordinators or inside sales associates. Employers like mid-size manufacturers and professional services groups along the Kellogg corridor regularly hire for entry-level support positions that grow into full business development roles. Familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot and a working knowledge of Wichita's industrial sectors noticeably strengthens an application.
