Director of Construction Operations & Business Development
Location: Greater Boston, MA
Job Type: Full-Time, Senior Leadership
New Chapter HI Services (NCHI) is seeking an experienced construction industry leader to oversee field operations while driving strategic business growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with strong industry relationships, government contracting experience, and the ability to lead projects from pursuit through completion.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue federal, state, municipal, commercial, and institutional construction opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and prime contractors
- Oversee active construction projects and field operations
- Manage subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and safety compliance
- Support estimating, proposal development, and contract pursuits
- Represent NCHI at industry events, pre-bid meetings, and networking functions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, prevailing wage, and project requirements
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial, institutional, or federal construction experience
- Proven business development and relationship-building experience
- Strong field operations and project leadership background
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of government contracting and procurement processes preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Greater Boston
