About You
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative analysis to join our fast-paced division. In this role, you will apply statistical methodologies, analytical modeling, and data-driven problem-solving techniques using tools such as SQL, R, Python, Power BI, and ArcGIS. By combining internal and external data sources, you will transform complex information into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, performance measurement, and key business intelligence initiatives.
A Typical Day
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, no two days are exactly the same. You will work with data from across the organization to uncover insights, monitor performance, and support informed decision-making. A typical day may include:
- Compiling and analyzing data from multiple internal and external sources to identify trends, monitor performance, and provide actionable business insights.
- Executing recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes for both internal stakeholders and Fund members.
- Monitoring claims, underwriting, financial, operational, and member service performance through established reporting tools and methodologies.
- Validating, reconciling, and quality-checking data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems and reporting environments.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into meaningful analytical solutions.
- Developing and enhancing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help stakeholders track performance and make informed decisions.
- Investigating data issues and partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality, processing, or integration challenges.

How You’ll Make an Impact
In this role, you will play a key part in helping Risk Management Services leverage data as a strategic asset. Your work will directly contribute to improving business outcomes, operational efficiency, and decision-making by:
- Applying statistical methods, quantitative analysis, and analytical models to evaluate Fund performance and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Supporting data-driven decision-making through meaningful reporting, trend analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Partnering with managers and staff across Risk Management Services to deliver analyses that support operational, financial, and strategic objectives.
- Recommending performance measures, metrics, and reporting solutions that provide greater visibility into business operations.
- Participating in data modernization, reporting enhancement, and business intelligence initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness.
- Helping ensure that leaders and business partners have timely, accurate, and actionable information to guide decision-making.
- Preparing presentations, executive summaries, and visual reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
Skills or Requirements for Success
Successful candidates bring strong quantitative abilities, curiosity, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights, including:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- One to two years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, statistical analysis, reporting, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data modeling, macro development, complex formulas, and analytical functions.
- Experience querying and analyzing data using SQL or a similar data programming language.
- Understanding of relational databases, data structures, and normalization principles.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with Python, R, VBA, or other programming and statistical analysis languages preferred.
- Interest in predictive analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or artificial intelligence applications preferred.
