How do I get a business intelligence job in Boston?
Focus your search on Boston's financial services corridor in Back Bay, the life sciences cluster in Kendall Square and Longwood, and the growing tech sector in the Seaport District. Employers in these areas prioritize candidates who can translate data into decisions, not just build dashboards. Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, paired with domain knowledge in finance or healthcare, gives you a real edge in Boston's market.
Which companies hire business intelligences in Boston?
Companies currently hiring business intelligences in Boston include Wayfair, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Zoox, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Boston's employer mix skews toward large financial institutions, hospital systems, and biotech firms, all of which run substantial analytics operations and hire business intelligence professionals at multiple levels.

Yes, business intelligence is well-suited to remote work given its analytical, desk-based nature. About 39% of business intelligence openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broad employer comfort with distributed analytics teams. Within Boston, financial services firms tend to require more in-office presence, while tech and healthcare analytics roles offer the most flexibility.
How can I get a business intelligence job in Boston with little or no experience?
