Business Systems Analyst Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business systems analyst in Arkansas?
Arkansas does not require a state-issued license to work as a business systems analyst. Most employers in the state hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or computer science, paired with demonstrated experience in process analysis or systems work. Earning a recognized certification such as the CBAP from the International Institute of Business Analysis strengthens your candidacy significantly with larger Arkansas employers in healthcare and retail technology.
How much do business systems analysts make in Arkansas?
Business systems analysts in Arkansas earn a median of about $81,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $29,750 for the lowest 10% to over $136,270 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business systems analysts in Arkansas?
Employers hiring business systems analysts in Arkansas right now include CVS Health, Advantage Solutions, and NTT DATA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of large retail, healthcare, and financial services organizations means sustained demand for analysts who can bridge business operations and technology systems.
Which Arkansas cities have the most business systems analyst jobs?
Little Rock, Arkansas, and Bentonville have the most business systems analyst openings in Arkansas. Little Rock drives volume through its concentration of state government agencies, major health systems, and financial institutions, while Bentonville and the broader Fayetteville metro generate consistent demand from Walmart's global headquarters and the dense supplier and logistics ecosystem built around it.
Are there remote business systems analyst jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business systems analysis is largely desk-based and documentation-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 78% of business systems analyst openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed the employer base has become. Requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder reporting are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a business systems analyst in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a business operations, data entry, or project coordinator role within a large Arkansas employer such as a health system or retail organization, where internal transfers into analyst positions are common. Baptist Health and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences regularly hire associate or junior analyst roles that accept candidates without prior formal analyst titles. Building a portfolio of process maps or requirements documents from coursework or volunteer projects, and earning a foundational certification such as the IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis, gives candidates a concrete edge in competitive applicant pools.
Where can I find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arkansas openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and target metro, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
