IT Program Manager Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a it program manager in Arkansas?
Arkansas does not require a state-issued license to work as an it program manager. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or business, combined with a PMP or CAPM certification from the Project Management Institute. Candidates with experience managing IT initiatives inside Arkansas's dominant sectors, including healthcare systems, defense contractors, or retail technology, move most quickly through the hiring process.
Which companies hire it program managers in Arkansas?
Employers hiring it program managers in Arkansas right now include Tyson Foods Incorporated, Walmart, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of large retail, healthcare, and telecommunications organizations means program managers with enterprise-scale experience are consistently sought after.
Which Arkansas cities have the most it program manager jobs?
Springdale, Little Rock, and Arkansas are the Arkansas cities with the most it program manager openings. Little Rock drives volume as the state capital and home to major healthcare networks and financial institutions, Fayetteville benefits from the University of Arkansas research corridor, and Bentonville's openings are heavily shaped by Walmart's global technology operations and its growing vendor ecosystem.
Are there remote it program manager jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 25% of it program manager openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication rather than physical presence. Program phases tied to hardware deployment or on-site go-lives are the most likely to require in-person availability.
How can I get hired as a it program manager in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into an it program manager role from a project coordinator, business analyst, or IT operations position at a large Arkansas employer such as a hospital network, state agency, or major retailer. UAMS and the Arkansas Department of Information Systems periodically post associate-level program or project roles that serve as direct entry points. Earning a CAPM certification and building a portfolio of smaller project completions gives candidates without formal program management titles a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to it program manager jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to it program manager jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
