At Visual Edge IT, we believe great business decisions start with great insight. As a growing technology organization, we’re looking for an analytical, curious, and business-minded FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team and help turn financial and operational data into decisions that move the business forward.
This is not a traditional reporting role. As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll go beyond the numbers to understand why performance looks the way it does, connect operational activity to financial outcomes, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other business leaders to develop meaningful analysis, improve visibility, and support strategic company initiatives.
If you enjoy solving complex business problems, working with large datasets, building financial models, and translating analysis into clear recommendations, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and the key drivers behind business performance.
- Develop financial models, business cases, scenario analyses, and other analytical tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple systems and translate information into actionable business insights.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, management reporting packages, and analytical tools that improve visibility into business performance.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage Business Intelligence tools and reporting platforms to expand analytical capabilities and improve how leaders access and use information.
- Present financial findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to Finance, business leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Support executive, Board, and lender reporting requirements with accurate, meaningful, and timely analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis, streamline processes, and improve the efficiency and quality of financial information.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Proactively identify business risks and opportunities and help translate findings into actions that improve performance.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other functions to serve as a trusted analytical partner to the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Strong analytical curiosity and a demonstrated desire to understand the business drivers behind financial results—not simply report the numbers.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build credibility with business leaders.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with OneStream, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is preferred.
- MBA or other advanced certifications are a plus, but not required.

Business Systems Analyst Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business systems analyst in Florida?
Most business systems analyst roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, or computer science. Florida does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers across Florida's financial services and healthcare sectors respond well to candidates who hold vendor-neutral certifications such as CBAP from the International Institute of Business Analysis or project management credentials, combined with demonstrated experience using enterprise platforms common in the state.
How much do business systems analysts make in Florida?
Business systems analysts in Florida earn a median of about $101,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,030 for the lowest 10% to over $161,720 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business systems analysts in Florida?
Employers hiring business systems analysts in Florida right now include Citi, Broward Health, and University of Miami, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of insurance carriers, health systems, and financial technology companies means demand for analysts who understand regulated industries and compliance-driven workflows tends to be especially consistent.
Which Florida cities have the most business systems analyst jobs?
Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville have the most business systems analyst openings in Florida. Miami's density of financial services, banking, and insurance headquarters drives demand in the southeast, while Tampa's combination of healthcare systems, defense contractors, and regional corporate offices fuels openings on the Gulf Coast, and Orlando's tourism technology and healthcare networks account for strong activity in the center of the state.
Are there remote business systems analyst jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 65% of business systems analyst openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, documentation-heavy nature of the work. Requirements gathering, process mapping, and system testing phases tend to be most easily done remotely, while go-live support and stakeholder workshops more often require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a business systems analyst in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a business operations, data entry, or quality assurance role inside a Florida company that already uses enterprise software. Large Florida health systems such as AdventHealth and HCA Florida, along with financial technology firms based in Jacksonville and Tampa, regularly post junior analyst and business analyst associate titles that accept candidates without prior analyst experience. Building a portfolio of process maps or requirements documents and earning a foundational IIBA certification strengthens an application considerably for these entry roles.
Where can I find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to business systems analyst jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Find the roles that match your experience and target location, then apply directly to each one.
