Job Summary
Oversees and leads System Administrators and technical staff responsible for Salesforce CRM initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time and within scope. Manages the planning, execution, and tracking of CRM projects, develops project plans and deliverables, and communicates status, risks, and outcomes to leadership. Works closely with the team to meet project deadlines and ensure accountability. Leads quarterly Salesforce release review meetings with System Administrators and Developers and recommends enhancements to leadership. Maintains project benchmarks, identifies new initiatives aligned with Higher Education trends, collaborates with peer institutions on best practices, and provides operational support to leadership.
- Works with leadership and all staff in ensuring that all Salesforce projects are tracked, monitored, and implemented in a timely manner.
- Provides leadership, management, and direction with strategic planning and long-term planning for the CRM and Enrollment Services Department Salesforce system and associated resources.
- Reviews quarterly Salesforce release notes and provides updates/suggestions for enhancements to existing features.
- Takes the lead in organizing new projects that are requested and assigns them to staff based on existing workload. Determines project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks.
- Assists with solution designs and delivery.
- Works with customers and functional areas to gather requirements and develops project plans.
- Establishes departmental goals with the leadership.
- Updates monthly benchmark reports on projects including statuses & completion times. Also provides analysis on existing goals and productivity.
- Serves as backup to leadership in meetings and other events.
- Works with Leadership to establish productivity goals for the department.
- Maintains a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
- Serves as an additional escalation point for CRM services support issues should leadership not be available.
- Initiates new projects based on existing institutional needs.
- Supervises Salesforce System Administrators and Student Assistants.
- Performs essential duties in any emergencies, such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during a university emergency closing, with appropriate notification from a department administrator.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related discipline with four (4) years of experience in related field including managerial experience.
Departmental Requirements
Salesforce Certified System Administrator is required.
