Duties
- Design and refine full arch dental restorations, implant prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, and other dental prosthetics using 3D CAD modeling and CAM software.
- Review medical imaging, patient assessments, anatomy, and clinical documentation to guide design decisions; maintain accurate medical records and follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements.
- Coordinate fabrication steps, including dental prosthesis finishing, ceramics, complete denture fabrication, and quality checks using laboratory techniques and a micrometer.
- Maintain dental equipment and apply infection control and aseptic technique in laboratory workflows.
- Collaborate with clinicians and laboratory staff; use dental and medical terminology clearly and support accurate coding when needed.
Requirements
- Experience in digital design for dental prosthetics, dental fabrication, CAD/CAM, implantology, prosthodontics, or laboratory work is preferred.
- Knowledge of full arch dental restoration, implant prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, complete dentures, ceramics, and dental anatomy is valuable.
- Familiarity with dental office experience, dental assisting, chairside assisting, patient assessment, medical imaging, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is helpful.
