Cardiologist Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a cardiologist in Arizona?
To practice as a cardiologist in Arizona you must hold an active license issued by the Arizona Medical Board, which requires a medical degree from an accredited institution, completion of an internal medicine residency, and completion of an accredited cardiology fellowship. Board certification in cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine strengthens your application and is required by most Arizona hospital systems and group practices before granting privileges.
Which companies hire cardiologists in Arizona?
Employers hiring cardiologists in Arizona right now include Tenet Healthcare, HonorHealth, and Northern Arizona Healthcare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's concentration of large integrated health systems and growing academic medical infrastructure means hiring tends to be consistent year-round rather than seasonal.
Which Arizona cities have the most cardiologist jobs?
Phoenix, Tucson, and Goodyear have the most cardiologist openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates because it is home to the state's largest hospital systems and multispecialty groups, while Tucson's openings are anchored by Banner University Medical Center and the University of Arizona health network, and Scottsdale draws demand through its concentration of private cardiology practices and specialty hospital campuses.
Are there remote cardiologist jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're rare. Cardiology is a hands-on specialty requiring direct patient evaluation, procedural work, and access to imaging equipment, so the large majority of roles require in-person presence. About 0% of cardiologist openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be in telemedicine cardiac consultations or remote monitoring interpretation rather than full clinical practice.
How can I get hired as a cardiologist in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to fellowship-trained new-graduate positions at large Arizona health systems such as Banner Health or Dignity Health, both of which recruit early-career cardiologists into supervised attending roles. Physicians finishing fellowship can also target locum tenens contracts at Arizona community hospitals to build procedural volume and Arizona-specific referral relationships. Holding full Arizona Medical Board licensure and active board eligibility before applying removes the most common hiring barrier for candidates without independent practice history.
Where can I find and apply to cardiologist jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to cardiologist jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across hospital systems, multispecialty groups, and academic medical centers. Find roles that fit your specialty and experience level and apply directly to the employers posting them.
