Clinical Supervisor Jobs in Arizona

LCSW REQUIRED | FULL-TIME CLINICAL & SUPERVISORY POSITION-IN PERSON-NOT REMOTE

AZ Center for Change (AZCFC) is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our clinical team in a unique role that combines direct clinical practice with clinical leadership and supervision.

This position is designed for an experienced clinician who enjoys continuing to work directly with clients while also helping other clinicians develop their skills and grow professionally.

The Clinical Lead will maintain an active caseload while providing clinical supervision to associate-licensed and unlicensed behavioral health clinicians. This is not primarily an administrative management position. The focus is clinical practice, supervision, consultation, clinician development, and maintaining high standards of clinical care.

What You'll Do

Provide Clinical Services

• Maintain an active caseload and provide individual, family, and/or group counseling services.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches appropriate to client needs.
• Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with other providers and community professionals as appropriate.

Provide Clinical Supervision & Leadership

• Provide clinical supervision toward independent licensure to assigned associate-licensed clinicians in accordance with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners requirements.
• Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and professional development to licensed and unlicensed clinicians.
• Assist clinicians with case conceptualization, treatment planning, ethical decision-making, risk assessment, documentation, and management of clinically complex cases.
• Review clinical documentation and provide meaningful feedback to strengthen clinical quality and clinician competency.
• Support the clinical onboarding and development of new clinicians.
• Participate in group supervision, case consultation, clinical training, and quality-improvement activities.
• Serve as an accessible clinical resource when clinicians need guidance between scheduled supervision sessions.

This position requires someone who is not only an experienced therapist, but who genuinely enjoys teaching, mentoring, and developing other clinicians.

The ideal candidate is approachable and supportive while maintaining strong professional and clinical standards. They should be comfortable giving constructive feedback, addressing clinical concerns directly, and helping less-experienced clinicians develop confidence and sound clinical judgment.

We are particularly interested in someone who values evidence-based practice, enjoys discussing challenging cases, and views clinical supervision as an important professional responsibility rather than simply an administrative requirement.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current Arizona LCSW in good standing.
• Meets Arizona requirements to provide clinical supervision toward independent licensure, or is able to meet those requirements upon hire.
• Strong clinical assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and psychotherapy skills.
• Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, training, or mentorship.
• Strong knowledge of ethical practice, clinical documentation, risk assessment, and client safety.
• Ability to effectively supervise clinicians with varying levels of experience and professional development needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain an active clinical caseload while managing scheduled supervision and clinical leadership responsibilities.

This is a full-time clinical leadership position, with work time divided between direct client services and clinical supervision/leadership responsibilities. The Clinical Lead maintains an active caseload with an expectation of approximately75-80% of time devoted to direct service. Remaining scheduled time is dedicated to clinical supervision, consultation, documentation review, clinician development, training, meetings, and other clinical quality activities.

The Clinical Lead works collaboratively with the Clinic Operations Manager.
