Clinical Supervisor Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical supervisor in Texas?
Becoming a clinical supervisor in Texas starts with obtaining a full clinical license in your discipline from the appropriate Texas board, such as the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors for LPCs, the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners for LCSWs, or the Texas Board of Nursing for RNs. Most employers require a master's degree plus a period of supervised post-licensure practice before you qualify for a supervisory role.
Which companies hire clinical supervisors in Texas?
Employers hiring clinical supervisors in Texas right now include Center For Autism and Related Disorders, Baylor Scott & White Health, and Petco, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large integrated health systems, behavioral health networks, and home health agencies generate particularly steady demand for this role across both urban and suburban markets.
Which Texas cities have the most clinical supervisor jobs?
Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston have the most clinical supervisor openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its concentration of large hospital systems and behavioral health networks, while Dallas and San Antonio draw volume from major regional health campuses, county behavioral health authorities, and the growing outpatient and home health sectors that anchor those metros.
Are there remote clinical supervisor jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're less common than in fully desk-based roles, since clinical supervision typically involves direct oversight of staff and patients. About 0% of clinical supervisor openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, which reflects the portions of the role focused on telehealth program oversight, chart audits, and administrative supervision rather than on-site clinical rounds.
How can I get hired as a clinical supervisor in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a lead clinician or senior clinician role at a Texas behavioral health network or home health agency before stepping into formal supervision. Large Texas employers such as CHRISTUS Health and county community mental health centers often post associate supervisor or team lead positions that serve as structured stepping stones. Completing your Texas board-approved supervisor training hours and holding an active full license will give you a meaningful edge over candidates who are still in provisional status.
Where can I find and apply to clinical supervisor jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to clinical supervisor jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your license, specialty, and preferred location, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
