What You’ll Do

Contribute to the development of a comprehensive cardiology department offering a wide range of services, including:
- Diagnostic testing
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Pacemaker implantation
- Cardiac rehabilitation
- Evaluate and treat patients using advanced medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Provide overreads of all cardiovascular imaging including echocardiograms, stress tests, ECGs, and nuclear cardiology.
- Coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with case management to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Actively recommend and participate in efforts to improve the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of care.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and serve as admitting, attending, or consulting physician as needed.
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultation for cardiology services.
- Participate in academic programs, including education and research initiatives, as requested.
- Ensure timely and complete documentation that meets insurance and quality requirements; manage appeals for any denials as needed.
- Provide weekend rounding until noon only, supporting work-life balance for you and your team.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiology (or Board Eligible with intent to certify)
- Active or eligible for Michigan medical license
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and cardiology fellowship
- Ability to interpret a broad range of cardiovascular imaging
- Strong clinical and diagnostic acumen
